There’s certainly not a shortage of things to do or places to go tonight to celebrate Halloween — whether its good old fashioned Trick-or-Treating or going to the 11th and Monroe Trolley park. Wishing everyone a fun and safe time of it tonight!

Halloween is only a few days away, and decorations are beginning to pop up throughout the community, like the decorations at 1342 Kenyon Street below.
As tonight is Halloween, there will likely be a lot of trick-or-treaters out in the neighborhood. Be on the look out for them and enjoy the costumes and decorations.
In walking around the neighborhoods, I’ve begun to notice that Halloween decorations are popping up. Below is the window display at Patrick’s Pet Care on 11th Street.
I’ve been seeing a number of houses decorated for Halloween this year around the neighborhood. Here are two from the 600 block of Quebec Place.

3666 Park Place decorated for Halloween.
Halloween is just over two weeks away, but I’m already starting to see people getting into the coming festivities. The photos today are from 3666 Park Place, NW, which as you can see is really decked out. I like everything about it, from the cobwebs and spiders to the skeleton and gourds.
Over the next two weeks I’m definitely going to be on the lookout for more great decorations. Unlike years past, I’m going to broaden my search to all of Ward 1. I’m curious to see which neighborhood has the most Halloween spirit.
Looking for something to do on Halloween that’s a little different than trick-or-treating? The 11th Street Halloween Extravaganza looks promising. It advertises to be kid, family, and dog friendly with crafts, games, and a dog costume parade. I’m definitely intrigued.
Grace Meridian Hill Church is hosting a pumpkin decorating event tomorrow. I’ve been informed that they will have treats/snacks and apple cider along with awesome supplies to decorate pumpkins. The flyer is below.
