Story District Moving to Park View
Here’s something that’s very cool. A reader informed me that Story District (formerly Speakeasy DC) is putting down roots in Park View. Their new home (still being built out) will be at 3329 Georgia Avenue — which places it between Walls of Books and the Midlands Beer Garden on the southeast corner of Georgia and Morton Street.
According to the Web site, Story District has been “[i]dentified as the “gold standard in storytelling” by The Washington Post and nominated for the DC Mayor’s Arts Award for Innovation in the Arts, Story District has been blazing a trail for contemporary autobiographical storytelling in the DC area since 1997.”
In addition to their Web site, they have a host of videos available on YouTube as well that are worth exploring … one of which I’ve included below.
