Final 2 Days for DC Born & Raised — Baba’s Dumplings Coming to EatsPlace This Saturday

EatsPlace at 3607 Georgia Avenue (web site here) is down to the final two days of the DC Born & Raised pop-up (Wednesday & Thursday) so if you haven’t checked them out you’ll need to do so quickly.

EatsPlace’s next featured pop-uppery will be Baba’s Dumplings, helmed by Katy Chang, which will make hand-kneaded dumplings and soup noodles. Katy is one of the founders of EatsPlace, and EatsPlace will also be featuring her Baba’s Cooking School line of award-winning hot sauce and a new line of bitters.

Chang writes: “One of the reasons I founded EatsPlace was to allow chefs to share their food with the community. I’m happy to have the opportunity to present my own food, which was inspired by my Baba (dad), who was a chef … “I also am excited to be able to feature a line of Baba’s Cooking School Bitters as all natural aromatic flavor enhancers. In Chinese culinary tradition, bitter foods are keyed to the heart. So it is with all of my heart that I make and present these bitters.”

The Baba’s pop-up will soft open starting this Saturday, January 10th, with limited hours 6-9 and then regular hours starting on Sunday, January 11th.
