The Columbia Heights Community Marketplace opens tomorrow, Saturday, May 7th at 9 a.m. at the civic plaza and fountain at 14th and Park Road, N.W.

Organizers expect speeches by Mayor Gray, Chairman Brown and Councilmember Graham to begin between 9:30 a.m. and 10 a.m. Then, at ll a.m., there will be a fashion show, music and dance until the close of the market at 2 p.m. This year the Marketplace plans to have 17 farmers and food producers, twice the number of last year.
