I’m happy to report that Salsa With Sylvia (check out their facebook page and Website) opened this week at 3232 Georgia Avenue. The start of the kick off celebrations began when the doors opened on Saturday, April 16th, with a Grand Opening family event for children and parents. Festivities will continue with a Grand Opening Social Dance Party on April 23rd from 7:30 to 12:30 p.m.

Salsa with Silvia’s new space feature’s 2,600 sq. ft. of dance floor, a lobby, office space, and bathrooms. With the new dance studio, Silvia is launching new programs including after school dance classes, discount classes for veterans and people with disabilities, kids and adult performance classes, social dances, and more. By opening the largest Latin dance studio in DC, Silvia will offer many ways to support the community and teach people of all ages how to dance.

Below are a few photos from my visit to the studio on Saturday. If you’ve event thought about brushing up on your Latin dance skills, Silvia is great and her new space is a very welcoming atmosphere well worth checking out.
