New Park View Mural Greets Georgia Avenue Visitors
A new mural was recently painted on the south side of the old Murray’s grocery store which is simple and to the point — directly stating “Park View.” I was able to learn that the mural was painted by local Park View artist Anthony Dihle and his company, Victory Dance Creative. If you haven’t heard of Victory Dance Creative before, I’m confident that you’ve seen their work — especially the posters for their DC Neighborhood Project which are available at Walls of Books.
(New mural at 3400 Georgia Avenue at the intersection with Morton Street.)

nice, but when’s something getting built on the vacant lot next to it?

You know something will be build there before too long – I’m for it staying clean and empty till the other two big construction projects just North are done due to congestion.

Clean? Maybe the inside but the outside is clearly a vacant lot with excess trash and loiterers

Zuckerman owns the lot and building. They said that will be the first developed of the many vacant properties they’ve been sitting on but I have yet to hear one peep about the progress (other than a garden ‘pop up’ temporarily filling the space). Before they bought it a few years back it was well on its way to being developed:

Thanks for this info. Live nearby and have wondered what would happen with that space. I’d love it to be a small grocery again…

Mural = graffiti

I wonder if this is just Zickerman dodging the vacant property tax by tagging this as an improvement.
Still dig it though. Would dig it more if it was on the side of a brand new midrise
