Enjoying the Parkwood Place Block Party
On Saturday, August 15th, the 1400 block of Parkwood Place had their 2nd annual block party. [FYI, the Park View end-of-summer block party will be held on September 12th.]
As one would expect, there was a moon bounce, good music, dancing, and a lot of food. In addition to hamburgers and hot dogs, Papa Johns was there with pizza.
I checked it out and was happy to catch up with Marvin Johnson (Commissioner 1A01) and Matt Goldschmidt (Commissioner 1A04). I also had an opportunity to chat with organizer Ernest Johnson.
As luck would have it, I also learned a new skill — as I was put in charge of the popcorn station for a couple of hours. Now I’m good to go at the next block party with a popcorn station.
