Meet & Greet with Councilmember Bowser this Wednesday @ Mothership

This Wednesday, November 20th, Councilmember Muriel Bowser will be joining members of the neighborhood for a happy hour! It is intended to give members of the community a chance to talk to her about area issues (such as crime) and see what measures she would take if elected.

I won’t be able to attend, unfortunately. I hope those that do confront her as to why she has consistently fought against Park View on many issues instead of embracing us as a neighbor to work on strengthening both her current territory and ours simultaneously.

PVR – I confronted Bowser on these Park View topics a couple of months ago when she came to my door campaigning for mayor. She just doesn’t get it. For me, the choice is rather easy . . . go to the joint police meeting.

She was adamantly opposed to adding Park View to the Petworth Metro name. Maybe just because we are a different ward? who knows. She doesn’t get it. Would love to here something concrete from her regarding education. What I have heard so far was not helpful.

How has she fought against Park View, other than opposing the name on the metro?
