It’s been a while since I’ve been to a T.G.I. Friday’s, so I found the video below interesting. As many area residents already know, T.G.I. Friday’s is planning to move into the vacant ground floor space at the Samuel Kelsey Apartments (3334-3336 14th Street NW, at Monroe). At the September ANC 1A meeting, a number of community members attended to oppose Friday’s locating to the building (the ANC was reviewing Friday’s liquors license application).

Currently, the ANC is in the process of negotiating a Settlement Agreement that will address community concerns with noise, trash, rodent control, and other sundry issues. In the course of meeting with the Friday’s representatives, they gave me a copy of the following video, which provides a good idea of what the 14th Street Friday’s will look like (conceptually).
