Planting Community, New Video Documents the Creation of Wangari Gardens
The following short film — narrated by Wangari Gargens co-founder Josh Singer — documents the efforts of those who wanted to create community space at Kenyon Street and Park Place. It focuses on the story to transform the land and the determination of area residents to make it happen.

Sarah and Josh are great people! I have to say after taking the PVKZ kids down there several times I am really impressed with the gardens. I love that anyone can care and harvest from the gardens outside the gates! I have already sent several families down there and the kids go weekly. They love eating the food from there and it’s such a great learning experience for them. I love that it’s in the neighborhood, but when you’re in there it feels like your in the country! It’s like a field trip in our own neighborhood each time we go. Hopefully they will let the PVKZ kids plant an open garden for the fall harvest! Keep up the good work Wangari Gardens!

Great short spotlighting the neighborhood garden park. They could have used some before & after pics (ahem, https://parkviewdc.wordpress.com/2012/03/21/wangari-gardens-breaks-ground/ ) What progress! Water is definitely a concern; as is, wearing a helmet when riding your bicycle.
