New Street Art in Area

I’ve been seeing this street art portrait applied around the area lately … mostly in the Columbia Heights area. This one is on the base of a street light on the corner of 11th Street and Park Road.

Other than crew tagging, I haven’t seen anything interesting on the Georgia Avenue corridor recently.

Does anyone know if this caricature is of a known person, or is it just some random drawing?

I used to see that portrait in large scale on an abandoned building on Georgia Ave, and it always reminded me of former French President Francois Mitterand http://www.toonpool.com/cartoons/Francois%20Mitterand_28577

but I can’t imagine that’s who the artist is depicting here.
