Here’s a bit of news I thought was interesting. If you happened to walk past Looking Glass Lounge yesterday or today, you may have noticed that the front was entirely cloaked in blackout cloth.

I was able to catch the filmmaker and it turns out that the site is being used by a Howard University film student for his independent film. While the film won’t be done in time for the 2011 DC Independent Film Festival (March 3-13), the film will be shown at various other Independent Film Festivals this year … and may even be shown at Looking Glass later in the year.

I’ll keep the community posted as additional information comes my way.
