Mark Your Calendars: Georgia Avenue Heritage Trail Review Session on January 19th

Sylvia Robinson and Darren Jones, among others, reviewing and discussing images at the photo review, May 2010

For those that have been wondering where things are with the Georgia Avenue/Pleasant Plains Heritage Trail, development is in the home stretch. The poster proof review session (a.k.a. the pin-up session) for the trail is scheduled for Wednesday, January 19th, at 6:30 p.m. The review will be held at the Emergence Community Arts Collective located at 733 Euclid St. NW.

The poster proof review will be the last opportunity to review and comment on the Heritage Trail. This is the long-anticipated chance to see the trail as designed, with text, photos, icon, and colors all together. All members of the community are invited to attend and look over the sign designs. Members of Cultural Tourism D.C. will be there to hear what you think.

The next part of the process is sign fabrication and installation! It is anticipated that the signs will be installed in May, 2011.
