Area Street Tree Planting List for 2010/2011

Annually, from December to May, d.Trees plants street trees citywide in all eight wards. This year, at least 3,200 new trees will be planted. While I haven’t been able to find this year’s planting schedule, last year planting began with Ward 7, and was followed by Wards 8, 5, 6, 2, 1, 3, and 4.

Last year, the Park View neighborhood only received 8 new street trees, mostly in the northern section of the community. By comparison, this year the community is scheduled to receive 26 new street trees planted throughout the Park View area. These trees are planted in empty tree boxes or along streets where street trees have died or been removed over the years.
