Excavation at Petworth Safeway Site Well Underway

It’s been a while since I’ve posted anything about construction of the new Safeway at Georgia Avenue and Randolph. As you can see below, thus far the site has been cleared and the excavation of the building is well underway.

There is a web cam across the street trained on the site that allows you to see the status of construction as well as an historical time lapse movie.
