While talking to neighbors on my many neighborhood walks, I frequently hear interest in having a community clean up. Well, now’s your chance to make Park View a cleaner place and meet your neighbors. We’ll also be partnering with HandsOn Greater DC Cares for additional help and supplies.
Help keep Park View beautiful by picking up litter and debris on the streets around the neighborhood. We’ll meet in front of Bruce-Monroe @ Park View Elementary (3560 Warder St. NW) at 10:00 am and work until 11:30 am. The more people who participate, the greater the impact we will have! While we welcome all volunteers, Park View residents are especially encouraged to attend. All supplies will be provided. For more information, contact Adam Castle (acastle@greaterdccares.org) or Kent Boese (1A08@anc.dc.gov).
You can also sign up in advance at the DC Cares Web site … but don’t worry if the slots fill up, you can still show up on Saturday and pitch in.

"The territory comprising Park View extends from Gresham Street north to Rock Creek Church Road, and from Georgia Avenue to the Soldiers' Home grounds, including the triangle bounded by Park Road, Georgia Avenue, and New Hampshire Avenue" (from Directory and History of Park View, 1921.)
