Soil Testing at Future Park-Morton Site (Phase I)

There was some activity at the car wash located on the west side of the 3500 block of Georgia Avenue yesterday that could possibly be signaling the onset of the beginning of construction for the Park-Morton project. Individuals at the site were taking soil samples.

I don’t know if this is standard practice or not, but wouldn’t find it out of line if possible soil contamination was being evaluated. Environmental issues were among the factors that helped shape the size and scope of the CVS development at New Hampshire and Georgia.
