Then and Now: 625-629 Harvard Street, NW

These three homes on the 600 block of Harvard Street were designed by architect N.T. Haller for builder William K. Hill. Building permits were issued on November 11, 1908 and they were completed the following year. Below is the ad for the houses and 625 and 627.

For some of these, such as this one, I’ve stumbled upon them while searching the online newspapers at the Library of Congress’ Chronicling America (http://chroniclingamerica.loc.gov/). The search engine is cluncky at best, and you would never find this property by searching for the address as the OCR didn’t pick it up.
