The following message was posted on the 3DSubstation listserv Tuesday evening. Looks like some Park View streets and alleys are going to get some assistance and clean-up on Wednesday (8/26).

This week the Mayor’s Office of Community Relations (MOCRS) will be conducting a Fix-It on August 26, 2009 at 8:00am at the following locations in your Ward: 500-600 Block of Lamont, 600 block of Keffer and alleys. We will be addressing the following issues: Overgrowth, boarding vacant/abandoned homes, removing dangerous vehicles, abating for rats, etc. Please join us!!

Operation Fix-It is Mayor Adrian M. Fenty’s multi-agency initiative aimed at abating crime, blight, and compliance issues in communities throughout the District of Columbia. The Fix-Its are held weekly and the locations are generally [sic] directly from concerned citizens.
