Losing the Vote, but Gaining a 51st Star
I’ve been enjoying the gradual change of the street art on the empty lot located at the northeast corner of Georgia Ave. and Kenyon. The image below was taken on August 6, 2009.

You can see how it looked in December 2008 when Michael Loadenthal took a photo of the same location (below)

Another thing that’s been popping up all over town, and is visible on the current photo of the corner in question, are the red and black stars containing a “51″ inside. I’ve been told that the stencils are in support of DC Statehood.
The examples below are from the Farragut Square area.
